How do oil and water interceptors work?
Interceptors work by separating water coming from the drainage system from any contaminants picked up en-route, such as oil, silt and dirt. The contaminants build up overtime in the interceptor and can cause blockages. These blockages can cause forecourt flooding and the risk of pollutants contaminating the watercourse.
