How Often should a septic tank or treatment plant be emptied?
There isn’t one emptying frequency that suits every property.
As a general guide, septic tanks and sewage treatment plants should usually be desludged at least annually, or in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. Some systems will need emptying more frequently.
How often yours needs emptying will depend on:
